I can't get my PnP devices to show up at boot nor with pnpinfo. I just bought a Sound Blaster 16 PCI card and was trying to set its irq, etc, via FreeBSD. I have the BIOS set to "yes" for "PnP OS installed". Question: if the BIOS handles assigning irqs, etc, to PnP decices, would this prevent FreeBSD from detecting them (and being able to manipulate them)? nepenthe# pnpinfo Checking for Plug-n-Play devices... Btw, I have the same problem with my desktop and my laptop (both 3.1-stable). And I've tried a ton of "pnp 1 0 ..." lines at the kernel config prompt. Thanks!
