If you're looking for current pre-built binary packages but can't find them in packages-6-stable, you should look at some of the other directories which are more regularly updated: drwxrwxr-x 95 110 0 2048 Feb 20 15:43 packages-6-stable drwxrwxr-x 92 110 0 2048 Oct 17 12:31 packages-6.0-release drwxrwxr-x 95 110 0 2048 Mar 08 14:44 packages-6.1-release Note that, as Kris said, this will change once 6.1 goes -STABLE -- by this I mean, at that time, you'll find the packages in packages-6-stable.
