As mentioned by someone else in this thread, wv2 isn't what you're looking for. You want wv, which has the executables in question. The descriptions of those ports are actually clear on this fact: Port: wv-1.0.0 Path: /usr/ports/textproc/wv Info: A library and executables to access Microsoft Word files Port: wv2-0.2.1 Path: /usr/ports/textproc/wv2 Info: A library providing routines to access Microsoft Word/Excel files Notice there are no executables, just libraries in wv2. And wv does have dependencies in the ports. If I'm not mistaken, the runtime dependencies will install automatically when a package is installed - unless you force no-deps, which would mean it won't run anyway. The build dependencies are only installed when the port is built.
