I thought a little about that and I find it will be very uncommon (and to some
degree complicated) to have a port where you choose which binaries are
installed. Also ghostscript is different, because the dialog (which can be
avoided if you are in BATCH mode) choses which drivers are to be builtin into
the binaries. The list of installed binaries is always the same.

The difference between gnuls and fileutils is approx 1.5MB. Is this a real
problem today? If it really is, we should keep gnuls. (I needed at least
two programs to get a script, which came from the Linux camp, working, ls
and touch)

Short conclusion: If Brian will continue maintanance of gnuls I see no
problems in keeping it.

Regards
