Make universe seems to work from an amd64 but fails from i386 as follows: any ideas? building shared library libc.so.7 /usr/obj/amd64/big/svn/FreeBSD/head/tmp/usr/lib/libgcc.a: could not read symbols: Archive has no index; run ranlib to add one *** Error code 1 Stop in /big/svn/FreeBSD/head/lib/libc. *** Error code 1 Stop in /big/svn/FreeBSD/head. *** Error code 1 Stop in /big/svn/FreeBSD/head. *** Error code 1 Stop in /big/svn/FreeBSD/head. *** Error code 1 Stop in /big/svn/FreeBSD/head. other builds also fail in the same way.. who would be someone who knows about this sort of thing.
