The following reply was made to PR ports/93777; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Eric Anholt <eric@anholt.net> To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org, snailboy1@yahoo.com Cc: Subject: Re: ports/93777: Starting xorg-server requires reloading sound module Date: Sat, 08 Apr 2006 16:43:48 -0700 --=-/dMMtINOZaeEQk1S0KQL Content-Type: text/plain Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable What driver are you using in X.org? Does this happen if you start a bare X.Org (maybe with an xterm, not some fancy gnome/kde term) and then run a command-line tool that outputs sound? I'm trying to establish whether X.Org or its drivers are at fault here. --=20 Eric Anholt anholt@FreeBSD.org eric@anholt.net eric.anholt@intel.com --=-/dMMtINOZaeEQk1S0KQL Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQBEOEq0HUdvYGzw6vcRAgb/AJ4svmzwDgLMyqBvW45qjMTRGeR06gCfV4OW NQZxhgSWQB+RciyxyS8UaQM= =nmGe -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-/dMMtINOZaeEQk1S0KQL--
