(Especially useful on Heroku, OpenShift and other PaaS providers.) It's designed to work nicely with a CDN for high-traffic sites so you don't have to sacrifice performance to benefit from simplicity. WhiteNoise works with any WSGI-compatible app but has some special auto- configuration features for Django. - While I'm here, add NO_ARCH WWW: http://whitenoise.evans.io/ PR: 239107 Submitted by: Alexander Sieg Added: head/www/py-whitenoise/ head/www/py-whitenoise/Makefile (contents, props changed) head/www/py-whitenoise/distinfo (contents, props changed) head/www/py-whitenoise/pkg-descr (contents, props changed) Modified: head/www/Makefile Modified: head/www/Makefile ============================================================================== --- head/www/Makefile Sun Aug 25 18:51:34 2019 (r509845) +++ head/www/Makefile Sun Aug 25 18:51:58 2019 (r509846) @@ -1896,6 +1896,7 @@ SUBDIR += py-webunit SUBDIR += py-werkzeug SUBDIR += py-wfuzz + SUBDIR += py-whitenoise SUBDIR += py-wikipedia SUBDIR += py-wikitools SUBDIR += py-ws4py Added: head/www/py-whitenoise/Makefile ============================================================================== --- /dev/null 00:00:00 1970 (empty, because file is newly added) +++ head/www/py-whitenoise/Makefile Sun Aug 25 18:51:58 2019 (r509846) @@ -0,0 +1,20 @@ +# $FreeBSD$ + +PORTNAME= whitenoise +PORTVERSION= 4.1.2 +CATEGORIES= www python +MASTER_SITES= CHEESESHOP +PKGNAMEPREFIX= ${PYTHON_PKGNAMEPREFIX} + +MAINTAINER= alex@xanderio.de +COMMENT= Radically simplified static file serving for wsgi applications + +LICENSE= MIT +LICENSE_FILE= ${WRKSRC}/LICENSE + +USES= python +USE_PYTHON= autoplist distutils + +NO_ARCH= yes + +.include Added: head/www/py-whitenoise/distinfo ============================================================================== --- /dev/null 00:00:00 1970 (empty, because file is newly added) +++ head/www/py-whitenoise/distinfo Sun Aug 25 18:51:58 2019 (r509846) @@ -0,0 +1,3 @@ +TIMESTAMP = 1563115019 +SHA256 (whitenoise-4.1.2.tar.gz) = 42133ddd5229eeb6a0c9899496bdbe56c292394bf8666da77deeb27454c0456a +SIZE (whitenoise-4.1.2.tar.gz) = 42878 Added: head/www/py-whitenoise/pkg-descr ============================================================================== --- /dev/null 00:00:00 1970 (empty, because file is newly added) +++ head/www/py-whitenoise/pkg-descr Sun Aug 25 18:51:58 2019 (r509846) @@ -0,0 +1,14 @@ +Radically simplified static file serving for Python web apps + +With a couple of lines of config WhiteNoise allows your web app to serve its own +static files, making it a self-contained unit that can be deployed anywhere +without relying on nginx, Amazon S3 or any other external service.
