>Description:
After compiling a new kernel (this happens on 4.5 Stable and on 4.6 Prerelease) I have to unplug the network cable and plug it in again, before the nic goes from state "no carrier" to "active". This happens after each reboot.
Think is has to do with the autonegotiation between the rl interface and the 3com superstack Switch although I added "media 100baseTX mediaopt full-duplex" to the ifconfig-line in rc.conf. What I am wondering about is, that this doesn't happen with the GENERIC kernel...
attached you'll find a dmesg printout and the contents of MYKERNEL

>How-To-Repeat:
reboot my machine ;-)
>Fix:
Currently only unplugging and plugging in again helps.
would appreciate any conclusion.
