If I understand this snipped from src.conf(5) correctly: The environment of make(1) for the build can be controlled via the SRC_ENV_CONF variable, which defaults to /etc/src-env.conf. For me, it sounds exactly like that what you would do with: make -j32 buildkernel PORTSDIR="/some/path" However, I never used it, so I don't actually know... Souji
