I have no real problem with pushing PostFix as an alternative to Sendmail at installation time. However, I still don't see why it's not being done as a port/package. From the perspective of someone installing FreeBSD, it's just a checkbox they have to select -- they don't care which one is part of the base system and which one is coming from ports. I thought we were slowly moving to a more modularised, package-ised approach to the base system. To me this (PostFix in contrib/, instead of as a port) looks like a retrograde step. N -- C.R.F.
