Yeah, I see. I will remove the dummy functions where it's possible.
Basically I was working on FreeBSD 10.0 tree all the time because I
started with it and didn't want to introduce more problems by moving
to a different tree while developing. Anyway, the next commit
overwrites most of the code in this file to make it compile against
head.
