--000000000000bc9745060f09666d Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" When the screensaver starts, the screen is covered with a black screen at about 15% transparency. At maximum brightness, it is just possible to see the pointer and exit programs and type into windows, but the overlay stays and I have had no luck eliminating it. Even exiting X and dropping into a text vty leaves the overlay in place. I had to reboot. This started after updating to drm-61-kmod which allowed the Alder Lake graphics to load its microcode and enable capabilities beyond the most basic. Before that, the screensaver simply did not work. I'd love to get the screensaver working again! -- Kevin Oberman, Part time kid herder and retired Network Engineer E-mail: rkoberman@gmail.com PGP Fingerprint: D03FB98AFA78E3B78C1694B318AB39EF1B055683 --000000000000bc9745060f09666d Content-Type: text/html; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <div dir=3D"ltr"><div class=3D"gmail_default" style=3D"font-family:tahoma,s= ans-serif;font-size:small">When the screensaver starts, the screen is cover= ed with a black screen=20 at about 15% transparency.
