Remove PORTREVISION= 1 When a sourceforge project is the same as the portname (which xlip is) it is as simple as MASTER_SITES= SF You will likely need to use USE_XORG= x11 xproto xmu As nivit@ said, try USE_GMAKE= yes There may be more things, but this is a good starting point for you.
