Hello - I am trying to get my network card working
with FreeBSD 3.2-RELEASE using the PAO package (latest
version on web). I did the PAO install as desscribed
after doing an ordinary install of BSD. The PCMCIA
modem seems to work, I haven't used it but the
messages from pccardd indicate it has initialized a
serial port successfully. The 3C574TX-B 3Com Fast
Etherlink III does not.
I did make one change to /etc/pccard.conf; I changed
the name of the 574TX entry so that the 574B would
recognize it.
Following is my /var/log/messages section from the
Etherlink III.
Any help would be greatly appreciated - I had this
laptop/card working with Linux and hope to switch it
to FreeBSD.
