I had similar problems with my DAT drive (WangDAT 3200) and AHA 2940
since kernel 2.0.32.
With kernel 2.0.35 AND the aic7xxx-pre15 patch included, it works
fine.

I have tested this with the S.u.S.E 5.3 aic7890 bootimage which has
the pre-15 patch included. (Thanks S.u.S.E.!!!)
