Hi all, I am currently running FreeBSD 4.3-STABLE and up until today, everything has been fine with this machine. Today, the machine rebooted for no apparent reason (it's a remotely administered machine) and there's no information in /var/log/messages that tells me why the box rebooted. All I have is this: reboot ~ Mon May 14 15:50 marcs ttyp2 x.x.x.x Mon May 14 10:25 - crash (05:25) marcs ttyp2 x.x.x.x Mon May 14 09:10 - crash (06:40) marcs ttyp2 x.x.x.x Mon May 14 09:07 - crash (06:42) marcs ttyp2 x.x.x.x Mon May 14 07:58 - crash (07:52) uberg ttyp6 x.x.x.x Sun May 13 12:29 - crash (1+03:20) My question is this. Did this machine crash, or could it simply have rebooted perhaps due to something else...? I do not believe this machine has been compromised as it's not running _any_ remote services other than ssh. If possible, please reply to me as I am not subscribed to the list.
