Since the ymessenger port already comes with old libs*, then why not just package a complete `compat layer' in the port? FWIW, I recently switched from ymessenger to Gaim due to depleted patience with the inherent borkage of ymessenger. * libgtkhtml.so.21, to compensate for the fact that Yahoo! can't be bothered to maintain an up-to-date working client for anyone who isn't running MSware or MacOS [or provide sources so we can have a proper port]. Isn't Yahoo! supposed to like FreeBSD? -Andrew- -- _______________________________________________________________________ | -Andrew J.
