I was running 5.1.6 of emulators/virtualbox-ose-additions{,-nox11} at that time. Luckily, I was able to upgrade the latter to 5.1.8 and all network/NAT problems went away. -- +-------------------------------+------------------------------------+ | Vennlig hilsen, | Best regards, | | Trond Endrestøl, | Trond Endrestøl, | | IT-ansvarlig, | System administrator, | | Fagskolen Innlandet, | Gjøvik Technical College, Norway, | | tlf. mob. 952 62 567, | Cellular...: +47 952 62 567, | | sentralbord 61 14 54 00. | Switchboard: +47 61 14 54 00. | +-------------------------------+------------------------------------+ From owner-freebsd-questions@freebsd.org Fri Oct 28 13:24:07 2016 Return-Path: <owner-freebsd-questions@freebsd.org> Delivered-To: freebsd-questions@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 85004C24B00 for <freebsd-questions@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org>; Fri, 28 Oct 2016 13:24:07 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from laoluomoks@gmail.com) Received: from mail-oi0-x232.google.com (mail-oi0-x232.google.com [IPv6:2607:f8b0:4003:c06::232]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256 (128/128 bits)) (Client CN "smtp.gmail.com", Issuer "Google Internet Authority G2" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 4658378D for <freebsd-questions@freebsd.org>; Fri, 28 Oct 2016 13:24:07 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from laoluomoks@gmail.com) Received: by mail-oi0-x232.google.com with SMTP id 62so348993oif.1 for <freebsd-questions@freebsd.org>; Fri, 28 Oct 2016 06:24:07 -0700 (PDT) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=20120113; h=mime-version:in-reply-to:references:from:date:message-id:subject:to :cc; bh=FsywjKjLONMrM7gJPqvjy8+0U2NdpxEz4aKcgC9eP3g=; b=cg9N/YG1etLYif5Se8lZ8L7pt78d2AmyvKZ7H+djh0lNoVojTOTS7/HpZzK3VKJul6 S2Ifv9UdbAqscJ0M8SJxM9bfM1srppVy+c1TCj0w8vTiGN/c8OsD83zJ525yItWuwhTz eqWFb/cGdxyCpI4kmLuKF0Ys0ZlxjEaUinLHdh7x86PVdoFzGaNj0Ys1NDiv61V2UO4f 7RsLKLtAA9mej7oDcb4SnIG5LtEcBkgj8Vmgy+yK7WkohX20+epJkjCthUrnr+oNXdqv Wt+7TGyNRqTSdJPeVWkShIS9sAVj9AkznnXNBW4XKlNNyKwcJ+n5X12z7CiGijtkz9EJ GTEQ== X-Google-DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=1e100.net; s=20130820; h=x-gm-message-state:mime-version:in-reply-to:references:from:date :message-id:subject:to:cc; bh=FsywjKjLONMrM7gJPqvjy8+0U2NdpxEz4aKcgC9eP3g=; b=aXfPAxpoD7C4jxFd7goU8otCLldqSZJm0YP2dZPl/yaf8TB6kEf9WaJbN5Nea1XcQG tmOQ06L+PfNoVSDCFyZvfiAkYqIVHkfZclPp2voBu+J0vLYHQG+0Q7mLz4MvvqzCQESR 5qsvgriAkkA6JTdzn6+El5UFyvUYXCClqdYIT3bq6Z6pjYbCaPljPy8jDxMlZKw92Ulz v31qyk4/lqjVPPx/OVmrK6eo/DmD19cFB6iJauqjgfSwYXOH+aBrVbcR06yq0O6sf5r7 cLnMfPK9Oz7qaH3dn5Xo4tNhGakwCpE6itDOVN2VNssKgR8Guk3GRmaxfbdb/TT8mnXw 0oVQ== X-Gm-Message-State: ABUngveJ/AR3HvObd7cq0rWGzler3LLEU2hMT2IyT8cUCRrkQ9eX2oCuzZ3RivB9f+0XYVGxrjGPbSF1IRGaHA== X-Received: by 10.107.165.208 with SMTP id o199mr10965894ioe.101.1477661046664; Fri, 28 Oct 2016 06:24:06 -0700 (PDT) MIME-Version: 1.0 Received: by 10.79.0.153 with HTTP; Fri, 28 Oct 2016 06:24:05 -0700 (PDT) Received: by 10.79.0.153 with HTTP; Fri, 28 Oct 2016 06:24:05 -0700 (PDT) In-Reply-To: <CADZMNXLORmNDapb8Ruo+75nnkTBjM610ciP3vB5RdWgBW5vzRQ@mail.gmail.com> References: <54AEF522-9B45-4322-AC58-D412E61B13AC@gmail.com> <CAO+PfDc8jV5FjRe3E6z8q-zwxONA3wM6KDv8-KA6kvXmZJXFXg@mail.gmail.com> <CADZMNXKJvbt4tYB_b_j-N2d-UJt-vW1Hd56SPDv7OkxVJXuS9A@mail.gmail.com> <CAGBxaXktRQde3ZY8YLD=A5mX2Cdvy3MxV44HLZ7zwsztUuCGbg@mail.gmail.com> <CADZMNXLORmNDapb8Ruo+75nnkTBjM610ciP3vB5RdWgBW5vzRQ@mail.gmail.com> From: Olaoluwa Omokanwaiye <laoluomoks@gmail.com> Date: Fri, 28 Oct 2016 14:24:05 +0100 Message-ID: <CADZMNXLncBfvqRc61tZDfLgdpck6-T=t-TSz+ZySS+k-jELoKg@mail.gmail.com> Subject: Re: Bhyve on freebsd11 To: Aryeh Friedman <aryeh.friedman@gmail.com> Cc: David Demelier <demelier.david@gmail.com>, Emre Gundogan via freebsd-questions <freebsd-questions@freebsd.org> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Content-Filtered-By: Mailman/MimeDel 2.1.23 X-BeenThere: freebsd-questions@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.23 Precedence: list List-Id: User questions <freebsd-questions.freebsd.org> List-Unsubscribe: <https://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/options/freebsd-questions>, <mailto:freebsd-questions-request@freebsd.org?subject=unsubscribe> List-Archive: <http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-questions/> List-Post: <mailto:freebsd-questions@freebsd.org> List-Help: <mailto:freebsd-questions-request@freebsd.org?subject=help> List-Subscribe: <https://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions>, <mailto:freebsd-questions-request@freebsd.org?subject=subscribe> X-List-Received-Date: Fri, 28 Oct 2016 13:24:07 -0000 Hi friend, When you attempt to load vmm do you get "svm disabled by bios"... if so see the email thread between me and Anish for a possible solution (didn't work on my HP Pavilion desktop). Actually when I attempt to load with kldload, It gives not such file or directory So without this bhyve cannot work neither have I tried vbox What do you think? Maybe I should just focus on vbox but without GUI is what want. Or is there any other alternative VM that will run on my i386 HP pavilion g6 4gb ram laptop=F0=9F=98=89 Ola Sent from my MotoE2(4G-LTE) On 28 Oct 2016 14:16, "Aryeh Friedman" <aryeh.friedman@gmail.com> wrote: When you attempt to load vmm do you get "svm disabled by bios"... if so see the email thread between me and Anish for a possible solution (didn't work on my HP Pavilion desktop).
