Actually I did this a couple of weeks ago, only to find that Jordan's latest version of sysinstall allowed you to do this through command-line arguments. I didn't see the point in duplicating his work so I gave up on it; in any case I wasn't totally confident about my changes, and didn't have any way of testing it myself (although several people kindly offered to try it out).
