I have an HP Deskjet 895Cxi on my lpt1. It is printing without intervention (I mean even when when I've not sent a job) - it prints only a 0 and ejects the page. The kernel cofig file says: device ppc0 at isa? irq 7 device ppbus # Parallel port bus (required) device lpt # Printer device plip # TCP/IP over parallel device ppi # Parallel port interface device device vpo # Requires scbus and da Am I to blame for being ignorant or something??
