Hooraay!!! The first Alpha in my life! (Of course), I entcountered some problems of which most were solved by upgrading to 7.2 firmware. The machine came with Adaptec AHA-2940UW Scsi controller. I wonder if it is broken since "show device" doesn't report it at all. And when I boot the 4.6 CD the installer says no disk found. I now removed the drive and controller and plugged in 2x1GB IDE disks I had lying around and everything went fine - I can boot FreeBSD off the IDE disk. Can somone point me to a solution for the Scsi problem? Many thanks in advance, Jan To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-alpha" in the body of the message
