Unfortunately, this fix breaks Akonadi 1.3.1, a prerequisite for KDE 4.4. Before KDE 4.4 can be committed to FreeBSD ports, this issue must be addressed. >How-To-Repeat: Install KDE 4.4 from the Area51 testing repository. Upon login, Akonadi crashes. >Fix: The same problem has been observed under Linux. A patch is available [2] that reverts the offending changes to MySQL. This patch has now been applied by Fedora and OpenSUSE. Until a better fix is available from MySQL, the patch should be added to FreeBSD's MySQL 5.1 and 5.5 ports as well.
