I just had another instance of my mouse locking up upon restart from a period of inactivity. It happened to leave me in a screen logged in as root, but I didn't know how to do anything to try to restart the mouse. The relevant lines from my messages file are below: Dec 4 10:50:43 kabini1 su: wam to root on /dev/pts/26 Dec 10 14:23:42 kabini1 kernel: ugen4.2: at usbus4 (disconnected) Dec 10 14:23:42 kabini1 kernel: ukbd0: at uhub4, port 3, addr 2 (disconnected) Dec 10 14:23:42 kabini1 kernel: ums0: at uhub4, port 3, addr 2 (disconnected) Dec 10 14:23:43 kabini1 kernel: ugen4.2: at usbus4 Dec 10 14:23:43 kabini1 kernel: ukbd0: on usbus4 Dec 10 14:23:43 kabini1 kernel: kbd2 at ukbd0 Dec 10 14:23:43 kabini1 kernel: ums0: on usbus4 Dec 10 14:23:43 kabini1 kernel: ums0: 3 buttons and [XYZ] coordinates ID=3 Dec 10 14:26:57 kabini1 su: wam to root on /dev/pts/16 Dec 10 14:29:15 kabini1 amd[709]: Unknown host: .Trash Dec 10 14:29:15 kabini1 amd[709]: Unknown host: .Trash-1110 Dec 10 14:32:49 kabini1 syslogd: kernel boot file is /boot/kernel/kernel Dec 10 14:32:49 kabini1 kernel: Copyright (c) 1992-2014 The FreeBSD Project. Are there any keystrokes under XFCE to change desktop from the keyboard ?
