It's the router for our DS3: router#uname -a FreeBSD router.mycompany.com 7.0-STABLE FreeBSD 7.0-STABLE #0: Mon May 19 01:16:12 PDT 2008 root@router.mycompany.com:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC i386 The machine has stopped sending periodic daily and security reports, though I'm getting weekly and monthly reports. I see nothing in the syslogs to indicate any problems. If I issue, as root, the command 'periodic daily', it just hangs until I press ^C to break out of it, then it comes back with router# periodic daily ^C (Interrupt -- one more to kill letter) and sends an email, with the following contents: Removing stale files from /var/preserve: Cleaning out old system announcements: Removing stale files from /var/rwho: But nothing else - certainly much less than I get from my other boxes. Running 'periodic security' also hangs, but when I interrupt with ^C, I get no output at all, either at the prompt or in email. I plan on rebooting it this evening - is there anything I can do in the meantime to diagnose the issue? Kurt
