Hello! There are USB->serial adapters VE042 made by Viewcon (http://www.viewcon.net) available in local stores here. I've asked Viewcon's support about base chip for this adapter, they've given me the answer: FTDI FT232BM. On FTDI site I see that this chip is the successor of the FT8U232AM. However, it isn't mentioned as the supported chip in uftdi(4). Is the support for FT232BM being planned (=is VE042 worth buying)?
