We're using a gigabyte ga-6bxds motherboard wich supports 2 pii processors. We acquired the machine already assembled and (strangely) running. We're using only a single processor and our suplier naturally installed it in CPU1 slot. This was the problem. These boards require single-processor setups to use CPU2 slot, thus the sudden freezes. In the board booklet, this indication comes almost unnoticed. Gigabyte should put more care in their docs.
