I recall reading somewhere that the recommendation that people use the
4.5.27 versions of libc/libm when using the XFree86 3.1 Linux
libraries; it seems there were various small gotcha's with the earlier
version (which antedated Xfree 3.1, I believe).
Might be worth testing; I'm still running vanilla 2.0.5R2, so that
excludes me from doing it, I think.
