I have a similar system (Ultra 5 333MHz) running FreeBSD 6.1 quite nicely. (I actually installed 6.0 on it and have been doing source upgrades). I don't have a console on it at the moment but when I did the video worked fine in both the console and in X. I'll attach a dmesg, my kernel config and my xorg.conf in case you're interested. I did have a couple glitches with it but they seem to be resolved now; search the archive for details.
