Yeah, mixing and matching isn't that possible with python in practice. You=
=20
might have to set PYTHON_VERSION in make.conf, nuke python-2.4, reinstall 2=
=2E3=20
and do the whole portupgrade -rf python all over again... not sure you woul=
d=20
want to go to such lengths, but I guess everybody who hasn't yet upgraded a=
nd=20
is reading this might consider holding off the update for a while. Meld isn=
't=20
the only victim to python-2.4.
