If your very used to FreeBSD/i386, then, well, OpenBSD is different, yes.

My SparcServer 10 runs OpenBSD 2.8, with FreeBSD sources on there (in my 
attempt to port)... but i haven't had much time lately :(.

I printed out the entire 300 page sparc v8 architecture manual, so i 
need to sit down and read it and do some heavy coding, but i have done a 
bit already.
