Unfortunately, it doesn't... In which case this effort might be better spent porting the alias stuff to divert(4) sockets, instead of a user-mode ppp daemon. Then it will be more generally useful, since plenty of folks will probably want to stick with ppp (instead of mpd). I'd be happy to advise, though it shouldn't be too difficult.
