I work with a D-LINK DFE-650 ethernet card. This card is supported by this version. However, my problem is that the card is recognized only at the very end of boot time. That is, all other local daemons and configurations are already up, I am logged in and then finally I get the beep, confirming that the card was recognized adn inserted. This means that f.e. an ifconfig IP assignment to the ethercard at boottime does not work because the card was no inserted yet. Later I can do it manually and this works ok but I want to do this at boottime. Therefore, how to do card insertion at an earlier stage??? Many thanks in advance!!!
