Oct 17 22:52:22 kiwi128 kernel: (scsi0:0:0:0) Synchronous at 20.0 Mbyte/sec, offset 8. and now for the funniest thing, i found out: i have my kernel sources in /usr/src/linux and i created a dir called /usr/src/a then i did "cp /usr/src/linux /usr/src/a -r" (or i copied /usr/src/linux recur. with "mc" to /usr/src/a) so my ext2 was pretty hmm 'stressed' maybe... then i opened another console and did "cd /dos/c/Temp" i have lots of files and dirs there...whereever i usually do "ls" that error happens now, while my ext2 was workin hard to copy the files i did "ls -R" and it worked without any problems....i reproduced it several times....so while my ext2 is working i can really "use" fat32 on my scsi (works fine on my ide)...of course it's slower but that's really strange i think....someone emailed me, he has a different quantum hdd but had the same problem...i have firmware L912...he said he upgraded to L915 and then everything was fine....even if it's not the soloution, i would like to know where on the quantum homepage i can download the req. files!!! (i'm a version freak; i download any new driver/kernel pre-patch or whatever) my 2940uw is (latest) bios version 1.34.3 thanx for reading... kiwi128@geocities.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-aic7xxx" in the body of the message
