I havent used the LVD version, but I have used the regular UW version of
the AMIMegaRAID on STABLE and current with good results (i.e. it didnt
crash and worked as expected).  See http://www.freebsd.org/~msmith/RAID for
the tar ball and how to manually merge it into STABLE.  (Its already in the
CURRENT tree).
