Wouldn't most anything work nicely - As long as you aviod "Strange" video / network / soundcards If you go for a do it yourself I think you will get the most bang for the bucks, and you get exactly what you want. Myself I run on several HP Kayaks at work. (Uptime enormously good) With the new X the videocards are supported nicely as well. gunnar@pluto.sr.se wrote: > > From: gunnar@pluto.sr.se > To: rknebel@uplink.net > Cc: freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG > Date: Wed, 14 Apr 1999 14:33:02 +0200 > Subject: Re: New Computer > > On Tue, Apr 13, 1999 at 09:05:35AM -0400, Rick Knebel wrote: > > Hi, > > > > I am reallystarting to like freebsd alot and am considering buying a new > > computer in the near future. > > Any reccomendations as to vendors that sell computers that freebsd will > > run on without problems?? > > Siemens Scenic Pro M6, M7 > > Works like a charm! > > -- > __o > regards, Gunnar ---_ \<,_ > email: flygt@sr.se ---- (_)/ (_) > > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org > with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message -- All progress is based upon a universal innate desire on the part of every organism to live beyond its income. -- Samuel Butler Whenever you find that you are on the side of the majority, it is time to reform. -- Mark Twain ################################# Johan Edström, SCA IT Services johan.edstrom@hygiene.sca.se Telephone : +49 8035 80676 Telefax : +49 8035 80610 Cellular : +49 172 8265375 ################################# To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
