I'm running FreeBSD 5.3 and I get messages from wine like "heap base address 0x80000000 not available. I have found some articles on the web on the lasts months of 2004 who say that this problem was solve (by patch directly in the port) I ve found a patch for the kernel too but it fails to works for me .
