Basically any laptop with two PC Card slots couldn't have booted with both of them configured w/o this patch. The Soekris 4521 box is a laptop since it has two PCMCIA slots... There was one other report of weird at boot behavior on laptops that sounded very similar to this. However, I can't find it in the archives, so I hope whomever had that problem can try this patch...
