Find a relatively simple linux port that breaks heir style/policy. Fix it, send in a patch giving the reason that it used to break heir style/policy and now with the patch it doesnt. Then you will be in a better position to present your reasoning to a port manager if the maintainer complains. And, assuming the port manager will approve of a port being made heir compliant, you will then have a precedent to back you up, and may be more able to convince a port manager to give you approval/backing to do the whole lot. Cheers, Tim. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Never miss a thing. Make Yahoo your home page. http://www.yahoo.com/r/hs
