I have had moderate success with ACE and will post the patches early
next week. Mostly because I am going to be out of town for the rest 
of the week.

At any rate, you will need the latest pthread lib which 
John Birrell <jb@cimlogic.com.au> was kind to upgrade to support ACE.
The pthread patches should be in 3.0-current by the time that I post
my patches for ACE.
