I'm running 3.3R/PAO3 on a Toshiba 4030CDT w/ a 3c589c, and experienced very poor throughput with the kernel & pccard.conf pointing to "irq 9". Moving it to another free irq (irq 5) seemed to clear it right up. BTW, I seem to recall Lehey writing in The Complete FreeBSD that irq can't be compiled in the kernel, but doesn't elaborate. Why does he make that claim ? (I'll be seeing if a new Adaptec 1460D does any better on that supposedly free irq to drive a SCSI scanner). --Gary To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
