Hmm, mine looks very similar ...

When ever I have heavy disk activity I get ata timeout's, and eventually
it forget about ad0 totally ...

This is without softupdates, the disklabel is as follows, and was
created using the first ISO jake published, but the box was reinstalled
yesterday using the latest
