Hello,
(and still I don't subscribed to this mailing list... :< )
I modified ko_KR.EUC locale definition(which I submitted to this
mailing list before), but I have some problem.
I deleted Codeset 3 and 4 part from LC_CTYPE.
(our code don't have these codesets)
When I tested it from 2.2-ALPHA(PP200, 64M, no network connection..),
it works better than previous version, but I test in 2.1.6 it works
wrong...(won't display hangul chars) Is it a major difference between
locale routine(especially EUC and vi) in 2.1.6 and 2.2? Does 2.2-GAMMA
processing it well? I don't have machine to install 2.2-GAMMA for a few
days... but after a few days 2.2 will come out.
This is a test file:
begin 664 test
1Q]&QV\"Z(+[&N*>TY+39+@H`
`
end
And modified ko_KR definition is end of this mail.
Install it,
# mklocale ko_KR.EUC.src > LC_CTYPE
# mkdir /usr/share/locale/ko_KR.EUC
# ln -s /usr/share/locale/ko_KR.EUC /usr/share/locale/ko
# cp LC_CTYPE /usr/share/locale/ko_KR.EUC
Setup locale and launch vi:
# LANG=ko vi test
You can see(maybe english users) some iso8859-1 text chars, except
seeing hangul-enabled terminals(hanterm...). It is "OK". When it
broken in your system(2.1.x?), it shows '0xc70xd10xb10xdb...'
Would someone test it for all? I hope, when possible, my modified locale
definition will be included in 2.2-RELEASE... Please test it in
2.2-970310-GAMMA, and reply to me. When it works good, I will submit
it, or someone reponsible in this mailing list can do it...
Thank you for reading, for help.
