Look for mxv, it is based on interviews and a pain to compile on 
FreeBSD, I just went for the Linux binary after trying too long.

I'm not sure what the sound emulation status is in the various
FreeBSD incarnations, I have to use Amancio's patches that he
made for Doom to work with sound on 2.1.
