The pointer would appear, but it would be pinned at the top-most scan line of the monitor--able to move laterally, but not vertically. The mouse in question is a Logitech MouseMan+ WheelMouse. Under 4.02, it had worked just fine. It was attached to a PS/2 mouse port. It was setup in sysinstall for "Auto" and PS/2 port with no other switches. I was curious what moused thought of the mouse. When I ran moused -p /dev/sysmouse -i all, I was unpleasantly surprised to see it identified as: /dev/sysmouse sysmouse sysmouse generic I switched over to connecting to COM2 (/dev/cuaa1), setup the mouse in sysinstall to "Auto" and /dev/cuaa1. And rebooted. Running moused -p /dev/cuaa1 -i all, I now get: /dev/cuaa1 serial intellimouse MouseMan+ I am now able to operate my mouse in X by adjusting the XF86Config file to reflect intellimouse protocol and /dev/cuaa1 for port. But I didn't need to do this before (it was set to sysmouse and /dev/sysmouse previously). Seems like something is broken. jmc To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
