Bugzilla Automation <bugzilla@FreeBSD.org> has asked freebsd-desktop (Team) <desktop@FreeBSD.org> for maintainer-feedback: Bug 249136: print/freetype2: enable PNG by default (for color emoji fonts) https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D249136 --- Description --- x11-fonts/noto-emoji requires PNG to render "Noto Color Emoji". When fontco= nfig is forced to pick the color font (avoid monochrome fallback) emojis are rendered as empty space (not even tofu). Inspired by https://twitter.com/gumnos/status/1302227336453128194 Tested with www/firefox and x11/alacritty. Alpine, Arch, Fedora, Debian, Mageia, openSUSE, Void do enable libpng suppo= rt.
