I recently got a Seagate CTM8000 (4Gig/8 compressed). It works well from FreeBSD, OS/2 and Windows 95 (don't have NT). I don't know about floppy based drives, but if you can afford the controller, SCSI should be a better choice. More backup software will support SCSI drives than floppy based ones.
