I have the same problem with /cdrom. I'm using /cdrom for mounting the CD. I have an entry in the exports-file to NFS-export it. When the CD is in the drive but not mounted, the NFS-export complains with the message you have also seen, BUT when the CD is mounted on /cdrom everything works well and no complain from NFS.
