Would you > mind? Well, the dependency means three additional daemons (and even more processes running them): colord, dbus-daemon and polkitd. So, people running some (most?) types of desktop environments (or even just gtk3 applications) won't care and other people might be slightly annoyed ;-) But I guess it really should depend on what exactly colord does for foomatic and how it interacts with the color profiles in the PPD files and so on, and I know nothing about that.
