Yes, this file is present.

This one too, with the following contents:

#
# Configuration file for using the XML library in GNOME applications
#
XML2_LIBDIR="-L/usr/local/lib"
XML2_LIBS="-lxml2 -lz -llzma -pthread  -licudata -licui18n -licuuc -lm"
XML2_INCLUDEDIR="-I/usr/local/include/libxml2"
MODULE_VERSION="xml2-2.9.13"

#xml2-config --libs
-L/usr/local/lib -lxml2 -lz -llzma -pthread -licudata -licui18n -licuuc
-lm -ldl
#

#pkg check -s libxml2
Checking libxml2: 100%

I checked /usr/ports/textproc/libxslt/work/libxslt-1.1.35/configure, and
there is no mention of libxml2.a anywhere in the file.

Mark.
