I made a copy of GENERIC and added the device line above to my
copy. I added it immediately following the list of devices (The comment
for this section of the file reads "Order is important..."). Is this the
right place to add the device line? I understand that I will also need to
add a fddi pseudo-device, I have added the line:

	pseudo-device fddi

to the very end of the file. I configged the kernal and typed
'make' and the error it reported was:

ioconfig.o: undefined symbol -fpadriver referenced from data
segment.
ioconfig.o: undefined symbol _feaintr referenced from data
segment.
	error code 1

Perhaps you have seen this error and know how to fix it, or you
can send me to some documentation that will help me diagnose the problem
myself?

	Thanks!

		Robert
